ParticipantYes, great to see everyone. Dale, the owner of Java Shack was very pleased to see us.
Can’t wait for RCannon to post the 10 photos he took!

ParticipantI am going home and having my 6 year old teach me how to take a photo. Note to self – never use a flash with cyclists – it just bounces off the reflective gear!

BTW did you know the Java Shack used to be the home of the Arlington Nazi Party? (link to a TBD Story)

ParticipantAgreed, great seeing everyone at the inaugural FCCII, I was so in the moment that I wished everyone a good Friday when I left… DOH…. forgot it was Thursday until I got to the office. Next week….. FRIDAY! Same bat channel, same bat time? Sightings before I left (and if I forget someone I sincerely apologize): Rcannon100, Culimerc, KayakCyndi, Brendan, Consularrider, Tim, Zana, Megabeth, Eminva, DismalScientist, ShawnoftheDread, and some other nice folks who I didn’t get the chance to meet.
PS. Got sideswiped/hit and yelled at 100 yards up the road… good feelings didn’t last long!

Yikes. Hope you survived that. Eminva and I braved the traffic on Clarendon to get to Key Bridge and, while there was a lot of traffic, I more or less felt like everyone saw us and gave us space.

The guy in the brown jacket looks like he’d very much like you all to go away (and take your stinky gear with you…)
Java Shack is very cycle friendly- I know of at least three w/e group rides that start or end there and they are a jersey sponsor of the awesomely named Lantern Rouge “team”

ParticipantLooks like a good turn out. I may try and show up next week. It’s a bit past my destination of Clarendon and I normally get to work at 7 but this seems like a good excuse for some schedule adjustment.

I actually prefer the standing. Sitting feels almost too formal or something.

I’ll roll by and say “HEY” on my way into FCCI.

If I’m riding I’ll be there. That said if its too windy/rainy etc I’ll probably be off the bike though as I really need this bronchitis to go AWAY. I’m doubtful rain riding will be much help.

I’ll try to make it! This is a better stop for me (I’ll be less late to work) since I’m a reverse-commuter, so I can probably make it more often than DC’s Friday Coffee Club.

Participant:confused: Which one to go to? (assuming I can get the kid going early enough to go to either)
Thanks for arranging this.
