From Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream in Wildwood Shopping Center, Bethesda. It was in fact ice cream for breakfast, as I hadn’t eaten before I biked over there.

Okay, I’m not good at taking selfies. Certainly not good enough to get one with me, ice cream, and my bicycle. However, the receipt provides evidence that my bicycle was there.

And I have to say, if you order curbside service and specify a bicycle with orange bags as your vehicle, you don’t even have to call when you arrive. Employee saw the bicycle pull up, and came out with the ice cream practically before I’d gotten off the bike.

Weirdly enough, this year the 6th of February – one of the coldest months in the US – is both National Frozen Yogurt Day and Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.

On your ride, capture ice cream or frozen yogurt: it can be the thing, a storefront, or a sign. If one of the two last options, it should have the words “Ice Cream” or “Frozen Yogurt”.

If you want 2 points (total), make your photo a selfie holding the ice cream or frozen yogurt. If you don’t want to doxx yourself, cover your face up with your mask/gaiter/buff.

A directive to go eat ice cream is one I’m happy to obey! Unfortunately, I can’t get the photo to flip right side up — so just imagine I was so wild with joy that I flipped out.

The place I went is called Sweet Mama’s in Fairfax. It’s just off Jermantown Road near Rt. 50. (I also spied a bakery I want to go back to try!). The flavor I got today was called “S’more”. No cone because their freezer wasn’t making the ice cream cold enough to stay on a cone.

So, Denville was hit hard by hurricane Irene. After they reopened they had flood mud flavor. But they reopened! This is the town where Bruce Weber turn left to go to NYC after crossing the country in Like is a Wheel. cute town but I couldn’t find the bike shop, mostly electrics and fluff, I think the pandemic got them. Also, we must not speak about Jersey drivers!

Ice cream sandwich treat for kidMBear after a ten-miler.
