I saw a number of lovely examples on my ride and decided that I would share this example, given the large number of dog fans out there.

Participant2/1/21 – Mondrian
I thought of a flag picture too, since I have a yellow helmet. Realized as I was getting ready to go that actually it couldabin any 2 of the colors, because between me and my bike we were wearing all of them already!Sorry about the ugly breathe – right. I seem to have a thing for being able to breathe through my nose [emoji16][emoji1744]

I enjoyed this one a lot! I got a few photos with a more Mondrian shade of blue, but this was the most fun shot:

Participant2/1/21-Mondrian Homage -Red, Blue, and Yellow.
This children’s swing in my neighborhood was the perfect find. Mondrian is one of my favorite painters and has a very interesting life story and helped set the stage for abstract expressionism. His New York City 1 piece in 1942 heavily inspired my “most” well-liked art piece. Also, tepid take, a child’s swing is kind of like the simplest form of joy for a child; like his lines were the simplest form of the environment or object he saw. Glad people could think about a great artist today.

Is this at a Ronald McDonald house? Those are such awesome facilities. I have some young friends who have been in one off and on since their son was born a year ago with many, many issues. It’s more home than their own house for now.

Participant2/2/21 – Dog (but not your own)
On February 2, 1925, dog mushers arrive in Nome, Alaska riding through unimaginably harsh conditions to complete the Serum Run. It later became the inspiration for the Iditarod Race and later the Iditabike.
On your ride, capture a dog in a photo out in the wild, and post here.
Happy hunting!

Yep, there’s one in Brookland, mainly for families with children cared for at Children’s National Hospital. It makes such a difference to allow family to stay close. Best wishes for your friends and their son.

I saw so many dogs outside during my brief ride. I went to the local dog park for maximum dog in one shot, however.
