Montgomery County isn’t big on rum. But it is big on specialty cheese.

This was another day of running around in circles. Spectrum Labs had closed permanently. Spectrum Pools LLC was supposedly in a particular building, but the building had only individual residents’ names, not business names. The Spectrum Center got closed down when the owner “voluntarily” surrendered her license due to an investigation for fraud. Spectrum Family Medicine turned up when I searched for “Spectrum Bethesda Maryland,” but turned out to be most of the way to Gaithersburg. So “crumbles” it is!

This area in Reston is slated for redevelopment. I’m guessing they’ll change the name as the context of this word has changed quite a bit since the 80’s. Can you imagine saying, ‘Oh yeah I live on the Spectrum?”

A bottle of Falls Rum at Falls Church Distillers, a veteran-owned, family-operated craft distillery in Falls Church, VA.

There was nothing in the windows for a photograph and the door was locked. I knocked and a very friendly employee told me they were closed. She patiently listened to my scavenger hunt quest and came back with a bottle of rum for my picture.

I was RUMinating this morning while out on a rum … I mean run … trying to think of “rum” words, when suddenly it dawned on me that the word “rum” is all around us thanks to the recent presidential election. I knew just where to find it, on a truck I see all the time parked near Westover. This afternoon I needed to make a trip to the local hardware store (quaxing at Ayers, a local business) and stopped along the way to grab this photo. I mean. he’s got to be useful for something, right?

Boy I hadda think about this one. Pretty sure the best rum in town is at my house – from when I visited PR last year. (They don’t export 3 star Barrilito.) So I biked to McLean. To TRUMan lane. [emoji16][emoji1744]

I saw a lot of Dead shows at the Spectrum. and saw many parts of the spectrum while at those shows..

I can’t enlarge your photo, so I’m just guessing that this Rum is over 100 proof. Most booze is 80+/- proof. Bacardi 151 would certainly be overproof (although, I don’t ever recall them labeling it that way).
