Today is my mother’s birthday so it was an appropriate chance to get pie or Tarta as they call it in Spanish! It is a strawberry mousse pie. And by the way “pie” in Spanish means foot and so my google search turned up a lot of shoe stores!!!

Because I’m taking this very seriously We went to Tysons II that galleria where once I dined in dark boothes with strangers, but today was a quick carry out and yes, I ate the whole Key Lime pie! Riding buddy Kbikeva said she could smell the lime through the mask. Now there is good pie!

1/23 Pie day

I went to Pure Pasty in Vienna to pick up a couple of pasties. A pasty is a savoury meat and/or vegetable pie and they originated from Cornwall England. These pasties are declicious and filling. I usually have a couple in my freezer… they are the perfect meal when you get home later after a looooong ride!
