Another from Arlington artist Winnie Owens-Hart, “Memory Bricks”
Winnie Owens-Hart is a native of Halls Hill/High View Park (HHHVP), the neighborhood this park commemorates. Owens-Hart was commissioned to develop artwork reflective of the history and values of this predominantly African-American community.

Really needed to see the whole thing and a close-up of the bricks for it to make sense, so I combined two frames into one photo (to meet the only post 1 picture req’mt).
Each brick in the park was made by a community member to honor memory of someone.

Yes, I’m a cyclist, but I’m not a car hater as many cyclists are. In fact, I like cars – enough to notice interesting or unusual ones when I see them. That’s how I already knew where to find a Bug (two, actually – there’s another one in front of the yellow one) right in my neighborhood.

Well, to continue the theme (and because in cold weather actual insect beetles are hard to find), I found this one. At the very end of my ride as I circled through a neighborhood street to get a ’round number’ on mileage, there was a beautiful bright red one with a black convertible top. Oh well, this one’s paint is more interesting.
