Participant1/16/21 – the word “Brewing”, “Winery”, “Mead”, or “Distillery” on a sign.

Drevil, I know, I know, the word should be Distillery. I went inside and asked if they had anything with ‘distillery’ on it. She searched for several minutes and found nothing. I tried.
I know the feeling. I left my photo outing until this evening, figuring I’d pick up a picture on the way to see my friends FFME perform at The State Theater (outdoors socially distanced show), but all the signs in the area turned out to be wrong. FCD is a “Distillers”, Audacious Aleworks is a “Brewery”, Solace Outpost doesn’t have any “Brew” words in their signage at all, and The State’s drink menu didn’t contain any of the right words. The Audacious Aleworks sign is simple white letters on a black background … would be so easy to “correct” … but I decided to be honest. Unfortunately, I know drevil to be a stickler for his many rules, so I don’t expect any leniency.

Alas, this was taken (just barely) before Steve’s rule was announced.
Not a rule. Just a way to maybe get a little bonus if you are able to include your bike. And, as can anyone, I can be as deliberate or capricious with my likes as I like.
Thusly, I will like cvcalhoun’s post even without a bike, because she noted that it would have been difficult to include it, and I used the word “easily” in my description.

Falls Church DistillersI took a photo here, too, but decided to go with New District Brewing rather than risk a DQ.

Redbeard Brewing Co is on the square in Staunton.
Across from Ox Eye Vineyards Tasting Room, where I’ve been many times. Ox Eye’s location doesn’t say “winery”, so I went with the Redbeard Photo. I’ll have to try the beer later though; sorry, no review or commentary.

howler or growler? I confuse easily.
A howler. It’s a quart, half the size of a growler. A convenient size for the bike. The one I have is insulated so it’s good for coffee, too.

Lots of keys, in fact–seven of them. Admittedly, they are not the kind Ben Franklin would have used. But I have to think that with his interest in electricity, he would have appreciated electronic keys.Oh, and this one includes a bicycle.
