After my Saturday morning run with my club, we would always crowd this bagel shop. The fast and efficient staff didn’t even have to ask my order….a poppy seed bagel with a blueberry-mango smoothie

This place is on the “Road Food” list according to my riding partner. Their deli is fantastic! Chutzpah Deli in Fairfax County, near Fair Oaks Mall.

I certainly wouldn’t call Einstein bagels the “good stuff”, but they were close to where I was headed to pick up groceries. For the record, this Brooklyn boy’s favorite bagel shop in the area is Brooklyn Bagels in Courthouse. Their bagels are good, and the people behind the counter have an impatience that feels authentically New York-like.

The shop next door to Einstein, “Jess Haircuts”, always gives me a smile, since this Jess’ haircut days are long gone.

Just not “many” to choose from in Yorkville, ja,ja,ja :rolleyes:

The closest one is Bagel Bob’s on York between 86th and 87th, There are a couple places on 1st Ave, about the same distance, but Bob’s has better bagels and I needed to get some (cinnamon raisin and sesame seed).

Being a Jersey girl I find Virginia, Maryland and DC, bagels lacking some thing. But, this place has a good name and back in the olden, olden, olden days, good bagels now just a clever name.
