You can’t have a battle without “bat”.

That’s probably stretching it a bit, but since I’m playing the Civil War game, I figured it was worth a shot.

I grew up on the original Batman, you know, the nice one with short ears. Years ago, a colleague who was obsessed with Batman told me that the bigger the ears, the meaner Batman is. I couldn’t imagine a mean Batman.

Had some ideas of where to look as I started my ride, but….
Timing is everything, and I found this waiting at a red light in the first minute of my ride! Thank you red light (rare that I say this !

I didn’t have the legs nor time to recreate this bat today, but here is a route I’ve ridden previously. At least it looks like a bat to me.

If this game is a democracy (which I think it isn’t) I vote that you get the point just because what’s more appropriate than an actual frozen saddle? Such a cool photo – well done!

Bunker Hill, site of the infamous Revolutionary War bat.

As of a couple weeks ago there actually was a (stuffed decorative) vampire bat hanging from a tree at the top of Bunker Hill. Alas, when I summited with my bike today, the bat was nowhere to be seen. I photographed the sign instead.
