    1/7/21 – Moon

On January 7, 1610, Galileo discovered 3 of the moons of Jupiter. Creative entries encouraged, but if your photo of your “moon” is not apparent, please explain. Happy hunting!

PS – no derrieres. This is a family friendly hunt! :D

Clove & Cedar. Sells whole coffee beans as well as coffee. And definitely local–its motto is “Brewed in Bethesda.”
Not the most artistic photo I’ve ever done. But the phone shut down due to low battery/cold, and lost all three of the photos I took. I was forced to take a screenshot from one of the videos generated by my Fly12. At least it came out legible!

    1/7/21 – Moon
I guess I’m the last one yesterday and the first one today. This was less harrowing than my last effort. The only issue was the driver of the truck, the dolly from which is on the right side of the photo, asking, “Are you all right?”, as I showed up at 1:00 am to take photos of a closed business. He seemed extremely dubious about my explanation that I was part of a scavenger hunt. However, he was delivering to the Starbucks on the other side from his truck, and apparently decided that it wasn’t his job to guard any other businesses in the mall.

1/7/21 – the bright spot to the left of the street lamp is today’s morning moon. I’ve included a closer shot for verification but after yesterday’s kerfuffle, I thought it might be nice to see a glimmer of sunrise over The Capitol.

1/7/2021 — moon. At the Lavender Moon Cupcakery in Alexandria. They weren’t open when I stopped by at 6:45 a.m., so I’ll have to come back for a quax another time.

I thought of this right off the bat! My friend and fellow freezing saddler used to work for Insomnia Cookies. Delicious cookies – but a little pricey without our friend’s discount. :)

I didn’t have to go far for today’s picture. The item in question was in the sky above my bike as I left home for my ride.
