So, this is a likeness story about Saturn. The muralist in conversation with a fiber artist mused on what would be to embroider the planets throughout the universe. They began to argue so only Saturn made it to the mural. Because I included my bike, it’s teeny weeny. Search with wild abandon..

2/19/21 – Planets. I think these will fit the bill – there are a bunch of planets but Earth and Saturn are definitely shown! This is on the Columbia Pike Library/Arlington Career Center on N. Fillmore (Walter Reed Drive) in Arlington.

After yesterday’s car kerfluffle I thought it would be fun to satisfy today’s challenge with a car, but alas the two planetary car brands, Saturn and Mercury, are long defunct and it’s hard to find examples of them in the wild anymore. On a nicer day I might have searched further, but instead I headed for Plan(et) B, this salon just off of Route 7 in Falls Church. I stopped and snapped the photo but did not avail myself of any beauty services.
Along the way I did spot not one but two Pontiacs. The Pontiac brand, which was my father’s favorite, has been defunct for about as long as Saturn and Mercury.

I’m going to resist updating the hunted object after my initial post (like I did yesterday and today) because I know it can confuse people. Safety is always my concern, and like I and others have mentioned before, it’s just a pointless prize game… which I hope injects a little fun and interest on your rides. One thing about these mid-day updates is that I won’t ever make it harder.
Everyone please be careful out there!
It’s a great game. Gives me a destination on days when the weather is bad enough that a silly game within a silly game, rather than just a single silly layer, really helps me get out. Also I know I’m not the only one who keeps inadvertently finding things from previous days’ hunts. Makes me wonder if the point of your game is actually to wake up our powers of observation.

The spiral light of Venus rising first and shining best, from the northwest corner of a brand-new crescent moon, crickets and cicadas sing a rare and different tune.

On February 19, 1473, Nicolaus Copernicus was born. He was a mathematician and astronomer during the Renaissance that proposed the heretical idea that Earth was not the center of the universe, but instead it was the sun.
On your ride, find anything related to one of our 9 planets (yes, I’m including Pluto), whether it be a likeness or the name of the planet. However, if you take a picture of dirt and call it Earth, you’ll get exactly .25 points
Let us know which planet is in your photo.

EDIT at 10:18 AM
Sorry I keep waffling. Pick a specific planet OR use “planet”. It’s all good for 1 point.
*****************************************************Happy hunting!

Have to zoom in to see, just above the “HT” in the store name. This is the backside of a sculpture of the Disney character “Pluto” in a window display of Disney sculptures at ArtInsights in Reston Town Center. Best I could come up with today!

Good thing that josh and Dre sorted out the rules while I drove from the Lehigh Valley of PA to somewhere between the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway, where I broke out my folding bike upon arrival, and went searching for a Planet Fitness in the driving snow (amongst even worse, aggressive JRZ drivers) after dark, to score a pointless point!:-0

It’s stuff like this that make me appreciate the game! That is really thinking outside the box!

While not born in NJ I spent my formative years there and use my NJ driving skills to great advantage when I return (NJ driving with out-of-state plates is the best). I’d ask you to get KBikeVA to attest that I am not among ever worse, aggressive JRZ drivers! You’re just picking on us before we go to the Maul.
