Obviously not. Put in “about 1500” and the confirmation email had nothing in the field. Have fun with that.

I don’t think it accepts nonnumerical entries in that field, so it just didn’t record anything at all. But I fixed it.

The computer does not accept imaginary numbers.

So you’re saying that I can’t enter my millage as the square of 2,250,000i? (I rode backwards the entire time)

The square of 2,250,000i is merely negative, not imaginary.

First, I’m pretty sure you cant “enter” your mileage. We outlawed manual mileage entries last year (because of all the imaginary miles)

Second, it doesnt matter to the GPS which direction you rode around the square.

Note that the last full day of winter is March 19. Freezing Saddles ends at 1 second before midnight on March 19th. Henry, please correct the sticky.

Nope, this year the last full day of winter is March 20.

Yeah, you’ve got to keep it up for one extra day this year!

Are you sure? I see that spring starts in 2018 on March 20 at 12:15pm.

(The app was/is configured right now to end on midnight of the 20th.)

You’re right, I misled Henry. I made the mistake of asking Google when the last day of winter was, and it lied.

Freezing Saddles always ends on my birthday and we always celebrate by riding laps at Hains Point until midnight. It’s in the official rules.

Well, research on this has left me more confused than before. This claims that spring began on March 19, not March 20, in 2016–which would mean that the last day of winter should have been March 18. But the last day of FS 2016 was definitely March 19, not March 18.
