ParticipantTurning away from the river there was this cute airedale, a young female. Also the compound on the middle left is a prison.

ParticipantThis is a series of 14 video clips from today’s metric century ride out the Hohe Straße (Via Regia) to Hammersbach Marköbel, then roads to Ronneburg (castle there), and continuting on a mix of roads and trails to the Nidda Route at Niddatal. The title comes from another Strava rider’s ride title for the basic route.
First is the Hohe Straße starting on the eastern edge of Bergen-Enkheim.

ParticipantHis is actually V. Out of Marköbel I was riding the L3009 heading uphill, sort of like climbing out of Rosslyn, but twice as long and twice the elevation gain.

ParticipantApproaching Höchst a.d. Nidder. This shows one of the frustrating things about German cycle routes, how they will sometimes just veer away from the road they are following and lead you who knows where.

ParticipantI was riding my Rove instead of my Pistola because when I went to the storage room, I found a flat rear tire on the Pistola and I didn’t want to bother to change it. Since I was on he Rove I decided I should explore some gravel and started deviating from my planned route.

ParticipantStill playing on the gravel I found part of the DT Limes Radweg. There was fresh gravel, but it was compacted and mied with crushed stone so it was more cycle friendly than what I was riding on Sunday.
