It’s a great cause, and documenting trips is important from a transporation perspective, but the website is terrible. That and I keep forgetting to log my return trip from work!

Yes, one of the hallmarks of poor web interface design: “just bookmark this page that is not the front page”

Yeah it’s not the best UI but compared to others in the same vein (endomondo) it’s still better.

Better that than one of those obnoxious sites you can’t bookmark and have to start at the top.

I don’t really have any major problems with the interface. Entering my timesheet at work is far worse. I figure the 1 minute each day it takes to enter the rides is small beans compared to WABA getting $10K. I’m sure the recession has hurt their fundraising so any money they get is much appreciated.

I posted Dirt’s original message along with WABA’s followup on the bike commuter listserv at work and some people signed up as a result. Please help get the word out!

For those of you who don’t like to click to the page where you log your miles, you could just bookmark http://2milechallenge.com/dashboard/ and go directly to that page. If you’re not logged in, it will ask for logon ID and password before getting you there. Mine asks me for Logon ID if I haven’t logged on for a few days on a particular computer, iPad or phone.

Thanks for the link, it works good on the iPhone. I’ve been logging my two trips daily!

Glad I read the forums tonight. I forgot to log my rides today. Done…. 2 more toward WABA’s goal!!

PS. The site is a lot faster now. I had a hard time with it yesterday.

We’re already at 3080 trips in the first week?!

That’s awesome! 10,000 trips should be no problem.

Correction: A tad under 3500 for the first week.

Plus CLIF Bar makes a $1 donation for each trip, up to the $10,000 maximum. So if the total number ended up being 9,999, that wouldn’t be a problem. WABA would receive $9,999 instead of $10,000.

I am so totally in. July is going to be a low mileage month due to more running and swimming, so I’m loving the “trips” aspect of this. I’m always on my bike heading back and forth from the grocery store, library, swimming pool…in fact I may start riding CaBi to head someplace else and then get my run in by running home.

I sometimes use CaBi to warm up before I start running. I’ve even done some warmups on CaBi right before 5K running races. My legs seem to warm up better on the bike than by running. I also do extra cool-downs on CaBi after some runs, but not always.

4,535 total trips as of right now. Maybe we can reach 10,000 by the 15th.
