    3/2/25 – DEITY

If I were a DEITY worshipping kinda person I’d be interested in this church They also often have a big sign in front that’s rainbow colored & says in all caps YOU ARE LOVED. Because of that sign I think of it as the Church of Pete, cuz Pete Beers used to post that to fb all the time. He’d literally post ” If you are reading this, you are loved.”

We for sure need more of that, especially without Pete now – so I always appreciate this church

    3/3/25 – SPEAR

I took 23 pictures of possible spears – and then I found this, right across the street, on my way home.

My neighbor has a white pocket hence with posts that look like SPEARheads 😃

    US Marine Corps War Memorial

I spent some time with these characters at Camp Lejeune, NC. while in the Navy Hospital Corps. Then I became a conscientious objector. Crazy story!

“In the military, the tip of the spear is the unit that makes first contact with the enemy. For example, the Marines are often called the tip of the spear because they are often the first on the ground in combat operations”

    ALERT FOR EVERYONE PLAYING!!!!

We are about to enter the “increasing points” phase — where even those who have played a tiny bit can come from behind and WIN this thing!

Starting Monday March 10, each day’s best photo will be worth an increasing number of points.

    Monday March 10 – 2 points

    Tuesday March 11 – 3 points, etc.

This will continue until the 18th, when that day’s best photo will be worth an incredible 10 points! So you see how this can add up!

The reason for this is to give you incentive to FINISH STRONG and because we recognize that the Wordle words at this point pretty much suck and require more thought than in past years. On the other hand, the weather is steadily improving, and hopefully there is very little FREEZING going on with your saddles!

All other rules apply, including that the judges can be mercurial and award extra points if we are so charmed, entertained, or gobsmacked by a photo.
