    2/24 gland

The cats and raccoons were too fast for photos tonight. But dinosaurs likely had glands! Maybe not sweat glands, but probably nasal salt glands. Plants can have glands, too.

#scavhunt 2/25 – I kept looking for a backyard solar DRYER on today’s ride, but didn’t see any.  Here’s a gas or electric DRYER in the window of Bray and Scarff on Langston Blvd, we’re about due for replacement.

    2/25/25 – DRYER

The hand dryer pic I got inside the bathroom at Bluemont is SO PLAIN that I’m gonna go with this one instead.

This is a great dryer that we all make use of more than we even probably realize most of the time. It worked extra well today cuz it’s warm (finally!) What better DRYER than the SUN?

    2/25 – Dryer

A friendly PSA: Remember to clean your dryer vent on a regular basis. It could be a fire hazard if you don’t!

    2/25 dryer

Hopefully Newton Street NE will be dryer after the crew finishes. There’s been a small river bubbling up through the street since the weekend when neighbors first reported to DC Water and 311. Picture of first work truck that arrived this morning in Strava.

    2/25/2025 – Dryer

The only thing I found on my ride that reminded me of clotheslines used to dry laundry.

    2/25/25 Dryer

Slicing through the water and air, the warm breeze functioned as a dryer of any water droplets that got on these 12 people.

Later, the oil painting of this photo used a chemical dryer for the oil.

Captain Rocky Versace was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in 2002. From his Medal of Honor citation – “For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while a prisoner of war during the period of October 29, 1963 to September 26, 1965 in the Republic of Vietnam.”

DC did a particularly good job in rebuilding the libraries around the city in the 2000s, winning many design awards. The Watha T. Daniel Library in Shaw was awarded the NAIOP Award of Excellence

@DCAKen – I love it when architects are so creative with the shape of the lot they have to build on. What a cool design – thanks for sharing it!
