Participant<span style=”-webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);”> 2/22/25 Cream. It’s my lucky day; not only a Jubilee Ice CREAM store in a funky font but look what the balloon inside is saying! Come on judges…the cream is clearly floating to the photographic top here.

You can find both bears (large hairy men) and otters (slim hairy men) at your local gay bar.

once upon a time, the Anacostia River was a playground for the river otter. But, for a long time, it was a hazard for all. Fortunately, the human race is trying to heal the river and make it, once more, a safe river for wildlife, including the playful otter

ParticipantWeekly Update
As of 02/22/2025
2/16 SUAVE
This was a hard word!
CaseyKane50 gets the point for connecting the suave gentleman with a tuxedo
2/17 TRAIL
Trails are so important, so everyone that showed a trail got a point
LeftyLaura and Bikerjenn got 2 points each for beautiful photos
2/18 INDIE
Promoting indie businesses!
1 point each for
Serdar (Crooked Best Records)
DCAKen (Bold Fork Books)
Indiana (Angelika Pop Up)
Chili-dad (Pizza and Gyro)
2 points each for the reason mentioned
CaseyKane50 (for promoting an indie BIKE SHOP – Handy Bikes)
Sophie CW (Indie artists – because . . . ART!)
Sszibler (E Street Cinema – because his timing was perfect and sad with E street closing)
2/19 MADLY
CaseyKane50 – we cyclists are madly in love with biking and coffee
Serdar – great description of the wall art and it would make a great tattoo
Indiana – beautiful sunset and great effort to get the good shot!
2/20 ROACH
Everyone who was on time got a point because of the COLD.
2 points for:
DCAKen – you made us laugh out loud
Casey – beautiful photo of a wetland area
2/21 CLOVE
Serdar – nicely composed photo of garlic. I’m sure you entertained the other people in the produce section
Sophie CW – beautiful artwork
2/22 CREAM
DCAKen – you made me want to go to KK!
Serdar – nice photo and nice to take it home to your wife
Chill-dad – very nice composition from above. The table decor makes it more interesting and it was nice how you protected the kids’ faces. And it was quite sacrificial of you to have to stop for ice cream on the ride. It’s the type of sacrifice we heartily support!
Karenbikes2 – if only you’d been on time. That was by far the best photo for cream! But rulezzzz

Participant@kbikeva, I think you misclicked on the spreadsheet. Much as I would love to have gotten a point for MADLY, it seems unlikely that it was warranted given that I did not bicycle that day due to the whole broken leg thing. 😀

One of my favorite Christmas movies I watch every year, “Emmet Otter’s Jugband Christmas,” directed by Jim Henson, shows Muppet otter Emmet picking out a Christmas branch instead of a tree. Last I saw, Emmet was on display at the Smithsonian American History museum but today’s ride just got us to this tree
