    01/28/2025 FEVER

At work. If you have a fever, or your room is just way too cold, this wall-mounted thermometer will detect it.

#scavhunt 1/28 – Riding in New Castle, IN, I did not go to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, but since it’s not Indy there’s no FEVER and no Caitlin Clark, just the Henry Co Court House with a Civil War Memorial

If you have a fever, you can find relief at any of the 10,000 CVS pharmacies across the USA.

Clearly Mother Nature mustabin having a fever cuz the new bridge over Langston* is rideable now!……and you KNOW it wasn’t falls church who cleaned it that nicely!

This was taken from the SE (so my butt was pointing towards Arlington when I took it.) I took pix from the west side too – that’s where it’s the snowiest, but there’s enough exposed black trail to ride through even if you’re really chicken on ice like me 😁🥶🤷🏻

[*the new bridge over Langston is probably a coupla years old by now actually – it’s the bridge some of us were tryna get named for fallen friend Pete Beers]

    1/28/25 – FEVER

The sunshine and warm weather are a wonderful cure for Cabin FEVER, and I was FEVERish with excitement when I found the path to Bucerias.

    1/28 fever

Did anyone else ride with the song “Fever” in their heads?

“Never know how much I love you
Never know how much I care
When you put your arms around me
    I get a fever that’s so hard to bear…”

Here’s the home of the late great jazz singer and pianist Shirley Horn in Brookland DC who recorded that song:

It’s been renovated since she lived there. Here you can hear her sing “Fever”: https://www.google.com/search?q=shirley+horn+fever

1/28/25: Fever.  Forsooth! What strange Fever striketh mine eyes? Methinks I see the Purple Line!

These strange new tracks are part of the station to-be at Manchester Road, Silver Spring. But, I could have been dreaming.

    1/28/2025 FEVER

Feverish activity going on at the Executive Office Building right now. And heaven forbid that anyone should take the whacko angle of the photo as a commentary on what I think of that activity.  😆

    1/29/2025 UDDER

In this mural, the cow’s udders are leaking so badly that she’s ended up in a puddle of spilled milk.  (Verification that this is in fact spilled milk can be found here.)

Remembering the first weeks after each of my children were born, I can sympathize!

#scavhunt 1/29 – This property was nicknamed “The Goat Farm” since the family raised goats there before donating it to the City of Bloomington.  A nanny goat has an UDDER
