Stick with me. Once upon a time, there was a chain called The Price Club. Along came a new chain called COSTCO. The Price Club and COSTCO merged and became known as PriceCOSTCO. Somebody decided that wouldn’t work, so it was renamed COSTCO. However, some still remember that it all started with Price.
2/19/2024 You can’t put PRICE tag on friendship! Some of my friends I’ve met through Washington Women Outdoors on the Montgomery Ag Reserve Ride today.
@alanA: To the high price of gas, we cyclists say “who cares” 😉
(And that 9/10 thing has been around since early on when gas was like 10 cents. Adding a penny was a 10% increase. So fractions made sense. More recently its clearly just psychological (3.99 9/10 is obviously less than $4 !)
The price of items in this Little Free Pantry is right for someone who needs food but can’t afford to buy it. “Take what you need, give what you can.” Located in front of the Cathy Hudgins Community Center in Reston.
Today’s PRICE was $8 for a 6-pack of Damon’s delicious oatmeal-raisin-walnut cookies at Veterans Plaza in Silver Springs MD. Truth be told, I would’ve paid him whatever he wanted as I needed fuel to finish my metric century! (He’s holding my Rapha Rosada glove as evidence that I was there;-)
2/19/24 – The PRICE of freedom can’t be named nor quantified, but it can be archived and illustrated at the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
