I was on a Wednesday Irregular ride, so there were lotsa people with 2 thighs each, and a long break provided ample opportunities for stealth picture taking 😁

The more the merrier
Babes on Bikes is a women’s cycling group. We used to only be able to invite men (“magnets”) on weekends & holidays. But we’ve changed it in recent years so that we can invite guys on any ride – but they hafta be great guys.This is John Brittain, front & center. Lynn Salvo introduced him to us, and luckily he’ll come when the rest of us invite him too, cuz she’s in Finland right now seeing another world record (the Arctic to the Mediterranean 🚴♀️🚴🏼♂️) John’s been a great addition to the group, upbeat and inspiring. He just turned 80 last winter and invited us all on his 80th birthday ride (80 miles mostly out & back on the w&od.)

The bar is inside on the second floor, but the music was blaring so loudly that it could be heard clearly outside at street level.

Mark led 5 of us on a nice ride in Belle Haven (despite the fact that the ride had originally been canceled for heat.) Nobody blared their horns at us!

It felt like Mary made a cameo appearance on our ride today! But in fact it’s better than that…… In fact she seems to be back, her femur healed!
That’s Mary in the pink, in the middle. She’d fractured her femur on a fall on a ride with us on 5/6. We’re impressed with her healing pace & attitude.Today she was coaching me on gear changing while climbing. You’d think I’d know how to do that by now, but tbh every time I did as she advised it felt better. 😁🤷🏻
And yes, I had my cheek full of food while I was talking this selfie. (at least I didn’t talk through it this time – I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done that!)
