    5/11/24 TIDAL

Geese and goslings at the Tidal Basin. In the distance, you can see the wet sand that was under water at high tide.

    5/12/24 OUTER

A bridge on the Bethesda Trolley Trail provides a clear view of the Outer Beltway.

@serdar, it seems weird that they would place new artwork there, especially given the fact that they’ve had problems with the water rising higher than it used to in the Tital Basin.  I would think that in a few years, the artwork will be under water.

    5/15/24 PINCH

Seems like a baseball field would be a good place to find a pinch hitter.

    5/16/24 STALL

Stalls at the Bethesda Women’s Farm Market. If only I hadn’t stalled until today to take the photo, I could have gotten a picture of them in use.

    5/18/24 BRINY

Capital Bikeshare is a good alternative to preserve your own bike when the county has made the roads briny in preparation for snow and ice.

    5/19/24 HITCH

I rode all over looking in vain for a hitch, only to find one on an official vehicle a mile from my house, blocking the bike lane.

    5/20/24 NICER

You’d think that a business that took the trouble to have artwork on the front would keep the plant by the door in nicer condition.

This one is late because I got kind of distracted by the multimodal trip–walk to the CaBi e-bike, take that to the station nearest the bike repair place, another walk to the bike repair place, and biking home on the newly repaired bike–and didn’t remember to add my photos to Strava or to post here until the next day.

    5/21/24 DINGO

What with the shortage of dingos in this area – even at the zoo – the best I could do was Anthropologie, which sells Dingo 1969 boots.
