    I wouldn’t bother with the amber headlight on trails as there’s absolutely no need for it. I experienced that on the BWI trail one afternoon… I’m not sure why the guy had his light going full blast but he did. I’d also be hard pressed to turn it on strobe in the city as well… too annoying. A few weeks ago I went on a 42 mile ride through St. Mary’s County and spent about 15-20 miles riding the shoulder on MD-5. Good lighting is a plus in that situation.

    I have an 800 lumen amber light on my recumbent trike. I’m ordering a Brompton soon and I hope to be able to use the light in the District. It’s a bit of a monster size-wize but it gets attention even in low-power mode. Maybe too much attention.
