ParticipantHeads up! This is tomorrow night!
We’ll be meeting at the corner of Wilson/Barton (Delhi Dhaba, Papa John, Java Shack intersection) at 6:30. Parade rolls out at 7pm. We’ve got tons of candy and beads.
See you there.

This is starting to look very deliberate (and still racially condescending).
I can assure you that it is not either of those things. I’ll poke at it some more.

ParticipantPerhaps Ray can correct me or add something to this, but I heard there was an issue with getting the flatbed crane truck in.
Because the crane would temporarily (like 3 minutes) need to be extended to unload the docks, it would conflict with the flight paths.
If this seems crazy and silly to you, we’re in the same boat.

ParticipantAs of this morning, it sounds like the contractors have not been given the notice to proceed yet, as there is still some decision making to be made about the parking lot. No other details are currently available.

I was referring to the federal DOT in DC.
Sorry, our reach doesn’t extend to the suburbs of Arlington.
I wouldn’t expect the Federal DOT to have Arlington maps, although it’s likely that the DC DOT has DC maps…

Do you know if hotels near Cabi stations/trails carry the maps at their check-in desks? Do all LBSs have them in their stores? Anyone know if DOT HQ has them available?
We work with several hundred Car Free Diet partners to have County maps available by their cash registers: http://www.carfreediet.com/pages/car-free-diet-partners/ (LBS included in that)
Some hotels even have free Bikeshare membership coupons available.
And if by DOT HQ you mean the County Building in Courthouse, yes they should have some in the lobby.
We regularly print/distribute more than 50,000 bike maps on an annual basis between the regular bike map and the newer comfort map.

I’ve run out of maps to give out as well.
We can give you as many Arlington maps as you want!

Oh great, a mild winter and now it’s going to snow the week after next because you announced a Mardi Gras parade.
Bob beat you to that punchline, two years ago. How does it feel to be bested by Bob?

ParticipantImagine this: It’s a Tuesday evening in late February and you’re riding your bike through the car-free streets of Clarendon. Clamoring revelers, three deep on either side, line the road–each one vying for your attention as you choose which ones are worthy of your time to throw candy and beads to. The crowd is whipped into a feverish delirium as you ring your bell and maneuver your bike along the frenzy. Talk about a rush!! (Don’t worry, we’ll supply the candy and beads for you…)
We’re officially asking for volunteers now. Come out–it’ll be the most fun you’ve had on a bike in awhile!!
RSVP on the FB link: https://www.facebook.com/events/1286133311425162/ or just let us know here that you’re coming.
