Well, 1) at least ice doesn’t splash and 2) it must be pretty diluted then. But it sounds like a case for DES/VDEQ/EPA.
Ice doesn’t splash, but it causes a slippery surface, especially if you’re going downhill around a slight curve…

Then he reached down with his other hand so that now he was holding on to the underside of his saddle with both hands. I started to brake, while wondering what the heck he was doing.
So what was he doing??

My experience with “top men” is that even when badgered, they still sometimes fail to accomplish the recommended tasks.
The top men moniker should be used sparingly! Don’t dilute it.

ParticipantI used the Topeak rear setup for years. Super easy to take the seat off and switch between bikes.
Mine has actually been collecting dust since I got the cargo bike, and the rack is for a disc brake setup. Interested?

But in that case it’s simply because Arlington, VA, and NPS have let everybody down by designing a terrible intersection
Don’t forget that DDOT has an easement over the bridge and VDOT roads and highways go through there too. Oh and that there was privately owned property in the mix too!

Does anyone have any updates on changes/updates/fixes that are on the horizon for this?
Top Men report:
“Safe Track reporting is very much on our minds, and is not dependent on the public dashboard. It is difficult to keep the public dashboard completely current all the time. It is important to recognize that the loggers usually continue to collect and store data even if they are unable to communicate with the server by modem. If the server is not updated, the dashboard is not updated.
• Crystal NB is back in service. I don’t know why it is not populating the dashboard automatically via FTP.
• Crystal SB has been abandoned. The loops were ground up in street paving, and the logger will be relocated to one of the PBLs on Eads. We will get a new counter for the other side of Eads.Tim Kelley

Tubes can be had for $2.99, so you can hopefully outfit yourself for a year of cycling for $15.
Where do you get yours? Got any tubes with 80mm stems at that price?

ParticipantHaven’t had time to dig into this much.
Feel free to take a look yourself and let us know what you come up with: http://www.bikearlington.com/pages/biking-in-arlington/counting-bikes-to-plan-for-bikes/counter-dashboard/

It is odd, though, to see someone posting a (train) ride like that!
It’s not even a very fast train…
