I did some recon this morning hoping to be Patient Zero at the Velo Café at the wharf since today is the wharf’s grand opening and hours were listed as 7AM. Velo Cafe had boxes lying about and an unfinished interior, I’d give them at least a week. I’m confused though because their website says they would have a running coaching session this afternoon, I’ll have to swing by later. If anyone has any info on the opening date for the cafe I’d be happy to know.

I would discourage the idea of a Rosslyn Friday Coffee Club, since there is already one just up the street in Courthouse. A different day would be better. There are currently 4 Friday Coffee Clubs. Any new ones should probably be strategically located not too close to existing ones. That said, I believe Kitty has her own, private Rosslyn Coffee Club at whim.

Steve O, understood I was aware of the one near Courthouse but was interested if they had another existing nearby, I agree with your position and will attend FCC II at one point.

Kitty, if you are open for this Friday in the Rosslyn area give me the time and place and I’ll make it.

I can’t speak for daily, but I do know that the Rosslyn Friday Coffee Club has an early contingent

Only if its during 2017 Coffeeneuring and announced well-enough in advance I can work it into my schedule (and not already have two for that week ;))

Hi Kitty, where in Rosslyn and at what time? I’d be up for making an appearance this Friday in Rosslyn. Also, I intend to start a daily 7am coffee club at Velo Café at the wharf, but an RSVP would definitely help me prioritize to make it happen in accordance with your schedule.

    Thanks all,

Sounds great to me I’ll be there. Taking your input into account, I’m fine with 7am if you can provide a good day to kick this off, I’ll probably just start hanging out there about that time once it opens on or about Thursday or Friday morning. Seems like a great location since it is a nexus for inbound DC traffic from Capital Crescent, Memorial Bridge, and 14th St Bridge.

I’m fairly new to the forum and saw the May 2017 edition of the weekday coffee clubs. Are there any updates to that list considering the warm months are coming to an end?

Would anyone be interested in joining a daily early-riser club in Rosslyn, Navy Yard, or the up-and-coming wharf?

Local cycling adventure taking me from Rosslyn to Crystal City back up Custis Trail to Virginia Square area back to Rosslyn. Blame the bike for enabling the non-cycling activities. Edited on GoPro Studio because Lightworks crashes my computer ever time whereas GoPro just crashes some of the time.

First off, welcome to the forum (since this is your first post)!

I mostly like the video, especially the transition from night into day along with the fact that I’ve never biked the whole way from the Beltway south to Mt Vernon Highway along US-1 (I always do parts and take other roads). The music plays well with the sped up, chaotic nature of the footage, but it is a bit shaky (which could make viewers sick). Does your video editing software have any anti-shake/shake reduction functions (I use iMovie which does)?

Looking forward to the next one!

Since it is the basic GoPro Studio editor the options are fairly limited, and perhaps no motion smoothing in the world can handle the notoriously stiff Cannondale CAAD 10. My hardware at the moment is a glorified Windows tablet (all-in-one PC). I have been working on a new video since last night but the GoPro Studio crashed and deleted all of my work, so I’m playing around with Lightworks for the first time today. Thanks for the support and it is a great ride, save for the mouthfuls of bugs at those hours.

For the record I had a headlight and was visible to other people on the trail, there were many blacked out trail ninjas though.
