Artist’s Statement: This sculpture is inspired by Rockville’s historically strong community foundation. Its’ contemporary, sleek stainless steel figures evoke the timeless traditions of people joining together across generations. They work and play in cooperative spirit while meeting challenges of the moment. The colored-glass and stainless steel sphere symbolizes those challenges as the opportunities that life presents.
This is one of my favorites as it looks like a family just having fun and enjoying the world.Sophie CWParticipant#HeroesWorkHere… well, actually lives here! I didn’t want to get too close since this was a private residence.
