My favorite part of the new section was all the cars driving in it this morning. Forget left hooks – cars were in the bike lane the entire block. The smooth pavement was nice, though.

In my opinion, this is where you would be wasting your money. The other expenses are fine for extending the life of your bike and getting it ready to ride regularly, but making major changes like new cranks and/or chainrings wouldn’t be worth it. You’d be better off putting that $100 aside and getting your upgrade bike that much sooner.
