Hold on, I think its just a case of wrong Ctrl-C + Ctrl-V. Valerie’s other posts are fine. And I think Valerie was out riding on the #stoputurnsonPenn ride (new rider, showed me a freshly cleaned cassette?)
Sorry, I guess I was too quick to be judgy. I haven’t noticed Valerie before.

I think I took the subway a couple of days ago, for the first time in months.
You think you took the subway a couple of days ago? The experience was so traumatic that it is partially/mostly blocked from your memory?

ParticipantYour brifters are both old. New replacements are cheap and easy to install. Why go through the trouble of either reinventing the shifting for your bike or having to fix them again soon if you only replace one or part of one?

She is pretty quick in that regard, but it was 20 minutes just to roll out of bed and put some tights and a jersey on…doesn’t include getting ready at her office.
You surely have no appreciation for the lives led by your fellow men.

Just as I was almost ready to walk out the door this morning, my wife (still in bed) says “I thought you were going to wake me up so we could leave by bike together” to which I replied “it’s 29 degrees out, I didn’t think you’d want to ride.” But she insisted she wanted to ride (we’d ride in different directions but leave at the same time). Well, after waiting 20 minutes for her to get ready, we walked out to the shed to get the bikes and she basically says “no way I’m riding when it’s this cold” and goes back inside….sigh.
It took your wife only 20 minutes to get out of bed and ready to go to work?! You are hereby officially forbidden from ever complaining again.

ParticipantI rode to my polling place first thing this morning, but I forgot to Strava it. So basically I voted for nothing.

ParticipantOn the way home from the light giveaway tonight, the rider in front of me hit a jogger on the MVT and wiped out. I stopped just in time to avoid a collision. Everyone seemed okay, so I gave the jogger some lights and a reflective strap, and the cyclist vowed to install his brighter light tonight.

I just rode it from 20th to 15th (yes if anyone saw me, I had on a green suit–no sense changing for such a short ride).
This green suit?

Although we will have to make our final judgements after all painting and construction of the bike lane/cycletrack/sharrow hybrid is finished, I think that they should at least put up some signs reading “New Traffic Pattern” so that drivers will be more aware of the changes. Right now, it’s more of a surprise being forced on road-users.
I think once it is finished we’ll quickly know how well the mirror M Street bike lane/cycletrack/sharrow hybrid will turn out in 2013.
Any “new traffic pattern” signs would surely be placed in the bike lane.

ParticipantIt would be way too embarrassing to respond to this post.
