Raleigh’s 2013 catalogue has a nice aluminum 6-speed with street tires called the Rowdy. It looks like a freestyle/BMX but geared. I think Spokes Etc. and REI both stock Raleighs.

There are some plot holes here. Where did he park? Where did the bikes and helmets come from? How did he get both bikes to the school? She looks nothing like him — did he trick a kid into going with him by offering her a bike? Why doesn’t he teach her to hold her line?

Saw Dirt heading west on Constitution, crossing 15th while I was at the light. He appeared to be riding some sort of geared contraption so I was momentarily confused.

I picked up a pair of basic Lake winter boots (LX-140) on craigslist over the weekend. I haven’t installed cleats yet b/c I still have flat pedals, but I wore them this morning and think they will work quite a bit better than sneakers this winter. A lot more vibration in my foot than sneakers, though.
