Team, I plan on going to the below coffee meetup Saturday morning. Let me know if you can go too! I’ll try to be at Best Buns by 8:30 or so before riding over to Swings with everyone else. There’s super easy and free/unrestricted parking in my neighborhood right across the bridge from Best Buns if you’d rather drive to the meeting place and ride from there.
Would love to but I have an evil in exam in FC at 11 and I’m still cramming. Have fun!

ParticipantUpdate:
There were a total of 5 participants in the Anacostia River Trail cleanup this morning- Robynne McRey, Chris Watson, Jessica Hirshhorn, HF, and Sarah Bee. Each should get 5 points for participation and for picking up trash at an NPS facility during shutdown. We didn’t get very far because there was so much concentrated trash. It will take weeks to clean up that stretch of trail. Extra points should be given for showing up even with a snowstorm in the weather predictions. The best part was, however, when an NPS park policeman drove up and thanked us and even though he was out there on a Saturday working with no pay. Very heartfelt, very sad.

ParticipantI have a lot of extra trash bags and recycling bags left over from today. If you would like to organize your own event, please let me know and I will be happy to donate materials to the cause!

Calvinball is hidden.I propose that those who select and wear one of Calvin’s friendship bracelets inside to the closing happy hour (or better yet forever and ever ) get extra points (to be determined by the scorekeeper wizrd)
Love the hiding spot!

ParticipantThis is the type of pointless prize that no matter who gets all the points, everyone wins!

ParticipantHailing Tim the Enchanter, Bruce the Sleepy, and Josh the Calvinball Administrator, since the Calvinball has reproduced, should double points be awarded to a player who takes a Calvinball and hides it in the Land of Mary? (It might be nice to include our friends across the border, no?)

ParticipantI don’t have any ideas for a team name, so I defer to others. Interestingly enough though, in googling 17 I found out that Andrew Johnson was our 17th president, who was impeached by Congress for attempting to abuse executive powers.

ParticipantHello teammates! This is my 5th year of BAFS and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and riding with several of you. I am a recent transplant to VA having recently lived in Riverdale, MD. Primarily a commuter, I’m still getting used to my longer daily commute also to SW DC. I do like longer, tougher, hillier rides but only when the weather is nice and not on my 40 lb commuter. My goal this year with BAFS is to max out my team points contribution every week (big fan of the revised rule change thus year). Some planned travel will make this a challenge. My other goal is to completely obliterate Team 19. As an avid coffee drinker and eater, very excited about food related group rides. Can’t wait to meet/ride with those of you I haven’t met yet!
