    Kill em with kindness.

I BLOW KISSES TOO!!!!! A kiss and a little smile go a loooong way. It’s worked the best, thus far.

Occupy DC has done nothing to upset/bother me. Just a big group of people standing up for the many things they believe in. Nuthin’ wrong with that.

We’ll see if my opinion changes this evening :-) I had to drive the ol’ Civic in :-(

I wore out the factory issued pads on my commuter Trek 7300 hybrid in 8 months (about 2,300 miles). I don’t recall off hand what kind of pads the LBS installed to replace them but I hope they last longer. One month does seem extreme though I suspect factory issued pads are of the cheaper variety.

Everyone was quite shocked that they were COMPLETELY worn after only one-month of riding. My commute is only 30 miles round trip, and I don’t ride everyday. I estimate it was only 500 miles….

They definitely replaced them with something better. My old brakes made a funny noise, and these are as quiet as my 2 kittens basking in the sunlight. It’s like a brand new bike.

Sadly, I had to drive in today.

However, driving made me realize how much I’d fallen in love with the bike-commuting. My favorite things?

    1) I see AT LEAST one bunny daily.
    2) I see AT LEAST one deer daily.
    3) I see AT LEAST one traffic jam daily (that I get to whiz right by).
    4) Cyclists are some GOOOOOD looking people.
    5) I don’t have to go to the gym
    6) I LOVE responding to – “there’s no way you rode your bike today….”
    7) I love the ching-ching of my little bell (it’s the little things….)

*sigh* With rain in the forecast, I’m dreading what my drive back home will be like.

Can someone elaborate on the S-curve of death (I’m still new here)? I’m assuming that’s the windy hill that takes you up to the little bridge (if I’m going west-bound towards Vienna)?

Oh man! I’m so bummed! I thought I heard something come from your direction. Although – I was being a bad biker yesterday and using my headphones (low volume of course).

Made it to the light event. Got a much-needed back light (along with a new front light). So nice to see all the excitement! Flashing lights everywhere! I felt a part of something :-)
