bperaltareedMy primary job as captain is to help get everyone up on the team and linked with strava. If anyone has trouble let me know and we can try to figure it out.
As a team we may have some team events and meet ups, but I will need help with that,so if you want to put together a team ride or a happy hour or what ever just do it, you don’t need my permission.January 8, 2016 at 3:45 am in reply to: FSSB(16) 1 – Finders Keepers — Round 1 (NAME TO BE ANNOUNCED) #1044291Mikey
ParticipantSo if the rules were too confusing, all you have to do is go out and take a photo of a monument on the national mall and monument park that is not for a president, and include in the photo your bike. Then post here with your name and the name of the site. Then we can worry about steals.

ParticipantSteve O said he also is on the team – hence the new logo.

ParticipantIn previous years I had you looking for Presidents. This first round has you doing the opposite. your four mystery tokens are “hidden” at 4 sites. Each site is
1) Within the National Mall and Monument Park – South of Constitution, West of the Capitol, Including East and West Potomac Parks Northwest of I-395 and West of the Potomac River.
2) is a monument to a single person who was never POTUS.The round name is #NotPresident
remember to include the name of the monument, your Freezing Saddles name (first name, last initial or equivalent) and a photo of the site with your bike. Post in this round’s forum threadthe deadline for this challenge is 11:59:59 pm on Thursday 1/21 and Go!

ParticipantCan you feed us a little teaser – how many teams this year?

ParticipantAlcohol works because of Freezing Point Depression, as Dana talked about. Any solute (compound dissolved in the solution) would work, like say sugar or honey. Wouldn’t Gatorade, or even Chocolate Milk have a low enough freezing point?

And of course the injured figure is the cyclist.
Classic hit and run. At least the cyclist is braving a smile, under these circumstances.

ParticipantThe entire Mikey clan will be there: 2 adults, 3 kids

I’ve been looking at the street view for a couple of minutes, and I do not see any signals for the car traffic. I see the beg buttons, but what do they activate?
Another example of road engineers killing pedestrians/bicyclists

ParticipantOne thing to consider is FP condition (Force Protection). It is usually posted on a placard near the guard house. In FP Bravo you can expect more scrutiny of badges and reason for entry. Charlie and you won’t get in unless you have a true reason to be there. (You won’t see Delta unless the base is in total lockdown and then that would be a 9/11 like scenario). If memory serves me I think we were in either Alpha or Bravo until the Paris attacks. I think we may still be in Bravo, but the guards are probably more careful about enforcing it.

Sorry for my lack of responses over the past week. I left town for the holidays and pretty much unplugged while in the middle of nowhere.
I have all the data and am going to be spending the next couple of days devising the best way to break up the teams (not quite sure how many teams or how many riders per team yet).
I am planning on doing random assignments with local teams for those that want them (to the best of my ability, some of you who indicated no preference may get put on a local team).
No matter what you choose, it will be better than the ones my lazy butt wouldn’t put together.

ParticipantI am a strong maybe. Thursday’s are good.
