Thanks, I happened to be close to all these embassies earlier. I did leave a few though…
While I admire the dedication. See rule #3. You can inly take credit for 4 by yourself. Everything after columbia is still in play! Great work though!

ParticipantUrgent Change – Based on road closures in the heart of DC during the inauguration, I’m extending the open period for South America to Monday Jan 23rd at Noon!

The Slacker Team does qualify for team pointless prizes. Slacker team only means that the members of the slacker team do not want to participate in the points / miles competition. Otherwise, let the rubber chickens begin!!!
No actually we don’t mind participating in the points per mile part, we just aren’t going to put it above everything else.

ParticipantI’ve also had them watch my pedicab a few years back while I went into the game while on a pedicab shift. It didn’t fit into the coral, but they watched it fine.

ParticipantYes, I would lock it up. They guys although young are very professional, and stay there the whole game. When the game lets out it’s kind of a free for all, though. A thief could easily slip out with your bike in the rush. I always tip a buck or two.

ParticipantCharge entry fees per lap. Think you will ride 6 laps – then pay more to register. Have 3 heats, Families 0-2 laps pace, Intermediate 2-4 lap pace, and Expert 4+. Let your cost structure drive demand.
Then you can also limit registrations for each heat.
Just a thought

ParticipantI would recommend social events and media attention – Morning and evening news will be focusing on how bad it is and will run many stories about Metro. Hold daily coffee meet ups and bike trains if possible. Have bike trains start at metro stations. Advertise on local media. Coffee in the morning followed by bike train will still be faster than car-metro-metro-shuttle-metro-walk to work. Can we start a SafeTrack Bicycle Club – market off of the misfortune and personalize the success stories – “Metro screwed me but my own two feet conquered!” “Bike to work summer” “Widefeld’s warriors” “These wheels never catch fire”, “SAFETRACK: I biked to work and all I got was this t-shirt, and kick-ass calves of steel!” The marketing options are endless.

I live in Kings Park West which is close to the Burke VRE and commute every day into Arlington. This is the route I typically take. https://www.strava.com/activities/578843391 From my exit off the Custis, it’s an easy ride into Rosslyn and the MVT at TR island. Alternatively, you could skip the Custis and take the WOD/4MR to intersect the MVT near the airport.
I usually leave my house ~6:00am and I’m happy to caravan. PM me if you’re interested.
I live in KPW townhomes (top of Gainsborough Drive) I plan to leave around 6:00 as well stopping at Fairfax City, Falls Church, Ballston, Rosslyn, and Georgetown before I head over to the Navy Yard. I usually ride in with a neighbor, I’m happy to convoy though.

ParticipantWhile a far flung destination would be amazing, there is something romantic about leaving and returning to your front door.
