Hi team!

Im Susan Kelleher. Was sorry to miss everyone on Wednesday but am out of town for the annual in law post holiday visit. I live in Adams Morgan with my husband and our seven bicycles and I’m a stagehand with Local 22 IATSE. I spend most of my work time at the Kennedy Center so I have a winter friendly 2.5mi commute. I’ll be back to it on Saturday, my apologies for the low mileage so far. There’s a lot of snow and ice in western PA….

This is my second freezing saddles- I participated in 2016 also.

Thanks to Carol for getting us all registered for this adventure!

Hi gang,

After freezing my saddle in 2015, I missed registering last year and was so sad. Glad I got my act together and I look forward to riding with you all through the best weather we get around here. Or something like that.

This time last year I was nursing a sprained knee, only able to ride a little and not able to work. I wound up having to have a spinal fusion on March 19, 2015 after all the sitting around led to my back going haywire (again). This year is SO MUCH BETTER. First BAFS, and while I am not a high mileage contender this far, the 213 miles I’ve ridden this year are 1/3 the mileage of my entire 2015. I’ll take it. Thanks for this event. It’s fantastic.

This is the Port City Pedals & Pints Short Ride. It’s a relaxed 10-some mile ride from the Brewery along Holmes Run. When you finish, there’s beer! You can knock out a Beernuering entry too.

I’m planning to ride and will be doing my usual pre-ride carboloading at Best Buns around 9, rolling to Port City from there around 10. Sign up on FB if you’d like to do the ride and feel free to join me at BB for the ride over.
