    Team ride on Saturday morning?

I live in Cameron Station or the 22304 zip code area. Regardless if you live closer to me or not, please reply. I am happy to ride and meet up.

If no one replies, I will ride to Rock Creek Park to do Ross Hill Loop. In that case, you are welcome to join me on my way to and from Ross Hill.

I can’t make this one, but thanks for offering.

Hi everyone – My name is Carlos. I’ve been participating in Freezing Saddles since 2017. I took last year off due to the birth of my son and a severe lack of free time. I’m back this year and looking to build up my mileage again. I don’t have an opinion on team name. Happy to go with the flow.

Carlos here. I live in Arlington. This is my fifth freezing saddles. I’m normally a commuter but that’s not happening until well after the competition is over this year. I’m going for perfect attendance. It has eluded me the last 4 years due to planned vacations. With Covid this year there won’t be any freezing saddles vacations so the path is set. I prefer email for communications.

    For the Company (Helles Lager)

Malt-licious. Always impressed by this place. 49883d765af151a5d02679cdfd1564c7.jpg

    Stating the Obvious (Vienna Lager)

    Smooth and easy to drink.

Pleasantly surprised to see people adhering to keeping 6+ feet away from each other. That’s my favorite kind of bar/brewery experience!7cba8923a0998cd3696c2f94a7c02d6b.jpg

Blanc Slate – Wild Farmhouse Ale

Light bodied and refreshing saison. I did not get a second, though. 3bc655236234e4d6ff430a2549ffbdcf.jpg

    Remington’s Run (German Pilsner)

Happy to see another non-IPA or exotic brew at this comfortable spot. This is very easy to drink and pairs well with the tacos served by El Tio. a805e7482898e6aa7061b8aa2310f230.jpg

#5 Old Ox Brewery, Ashburn, VA

    War Wagon Amber Lager

Hit the spot after a less than pleasant ride in pretty crummy weather. The second one convinced me to pass up a car ride home and brave the elements once more. Bad decision.

Sorry, doesn’t count because my understanding is that the beer is not brewed at that location.

Well I’ll be damned. My apologies. I updated that post as “non-beerneuring” as well as the number on my subsequent post.

    Potomac Paddleboarder (Citrus Blonde)

Very light citrus notes, which was a relief for me. The pineapple delivers the sweetness and it’s not overwhelming. I haven’t been here in a few years due to an underwhelming first few visits, but this was a pleasant surprise. I’ll be back, especially since this is on my commute home. 1a7625172b4f1a73e0a7dab4f10cfc0e.jpg

Reminds me of Guinness Foreign Extra. Dark, but light and easy to drink.

Any requirement on the size of the beer? Would a 4oz pour still count? Or does it have to be 12-16oz?
