As of about 7:30am today there were no speed bumps. The barriers were still there and a sign warning of bumps, but no bumps. Are they only in during the day or when they are doing something in particular, I wonder? Did they take them down after a few falls occurred? Curious to know.
Bumps were gone during the day today. It looks to me as if the barriers are to keep workers off the trail.

ParticipantThose who went bikepacking with Judd last June will appreciate this Towpath resurfacing upriver from Lockhouse 25. No more muddy ruts! Too bad the section downriver from the lockhouse in not yet on the resurfacing schedule.

Chris,
I think this was #61, not 6.
KateI think we should take him at his word. Only 6 for consularrider sounds about right.

So Bob James doesn’t win outright just because he was riding on ice with soft cushy snow to land in all winter? Good deal.

Wait! If Steve O was there, I might have been there as well. Or, perhaps I MEANT to be there…someday. Really. Maybe next month’s meeting.

ParticipantIf you are still into mountain biking (alas, my old bones have become too fragile to risk them on the rock-filled trails of Gambrill) and haven’t already, you should check out M.O.R.E. (The Mid-Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts). And yes, as Steve O mentioned, stop by for coffee sometime.

But what exactly will I do with this bike, I wonder?
The first thing you will need to do is flip-flop that hub. If it ain’t fixed it ain’t fixed.

Still there two days later. Do I get points?
Nope. It’s been over 24 hours, but it needs to move a mile also.

ParticipantCaught at the corner of E. Glebe Road and Potomac Avenue on 3/5/18 around 10:00am. What? They couldn’t use the kickstand?

ParticipantWasn’t this discussion scheduled for late December – early January according to Freezing Saddles tradition?

ParticipantYesterday on the 4MRT under the train tracks this metal strapping material was just lying in wait to shred a tire. It ended up on the rear rack headed for my garage dustbin.
