I’m afraid I can’t do the game or the coffee, but I might be able to rendezvous with the group after church. (The soonest I am able to leave there on Sundays is 10:10am… until they go to summer time, then its 10:30. :()

I went ahead and registered so I’m officially in! I want those cookies…

I actually will need to make it back in time for a Nat’s game with Mr. Kitty’s workplace, but that’s not until 4ish. Should work out?

Alas I won’t be able to get to any of those before the party this evening (already late to work trying to figure out my layers for today!) But if I were to play hooky at some point this week… Hmmmm…

As I’d noted in the previous post, I was utterly befuddled once I got the PM and couldn’t figure out where the clues where. Then I missed the advent of the clues, and possibly all of the ones I could locate. So I’m honored to play! I just need a hint, (what’s a tiki trail?) or another weekend wherein I can ride all the way out to Bikenetic. :p
That said, again I’m honored to be included, even if I didn’t realize it!

Here’s where I need to swallow my pride and exclaim that I was utterly befuddled by Tim the Enchanter’s riddles, and didn’t know where to look for clues. I couldn’t suss out where from the PM and didn’t think to get on the forums after the Vasa slog. :(

Verily I am enthused to embark on a quixotic sacred quest once more, but a clue, for I am daft, and my mother may very well be a hamster….

UPDATE!!! I’ve been crowned sweep for tomorrow’s ride so I will roll out at 9am instead. So those who want a few more minutes of sleep or warmth, feel free to join #TeamKitty! I’ll want the company.

I’m not sure when I’ll end, but if it is before the after-after-party time of 2pm, someone please do post on the forum where we’re going! :D

Just got an email from WABA saying that there will be Swedish meatballs at REI and Vasa Ride participants get drink specials at Wunder Garten.

    Sweet! That seals it then.

By the way, I take it Swedish meatballs are, as a general rule, made with flour/breadcrumbs etc? #yupthisagainsorry #SaturdayNightandYouWon’tHearAboutItAgainForAYear

I feel you! Pie Day always seems to fall during Lent for me…

Because I’ve failed to check in here, I am marshalling the 60 miler. Because I’m committed to marshal, unless WABA cancels, I’m obligated to do the full distance in the “lousy Smarch weather.” All are welcome to join #TeamKitty, even #TeamHomeBrewer and #TeamSteveO. Lord knows we’re all going to be split by traffic lights (there are many) and hills.

Given lack of conditioning on my part, and that weather conditions will likely mean boots and wide wheels instead of cleats and road skinnys, I am not anticipating being super fast. As such I am going to try for an early roll-out close to the 8:30am start.

I was already planning on getting beer, though I was thinking Right Proper Brookland (because I haven’t been and it opens at Noon). I can be persuaded to other places though if their selection is decent. I will also need warm food, which can be purchased from site of beer, or taken/ordered to site of beer if they’re into that sort of thing.

I’m hoping to see folks there! It will make the day a bit brighter.

So there were probably around 20 Frozémon hanging out around hains point for the final night party, and even the most visible seem to have been missed. Now that the closing ceremony has been postponed that means hunters have another few days to go out and get whatever has survived the storm!

    That’s mean! I’m doing to need to ride with a step-ladder… :(

I’ll be there! Hopefully this date will mean less of a risk of slip and fall with a 6-pack of fermented lake water.

In true Michigan fashion, we’re staring down a potential snow storm after BAFS ends. (It’s not securely spring until weeeell into April or May up there). Alas, snow this year was too little, too late, so the winner goes to the person who rode the most miles on Michigan Day: Pete Beers!

Aptly named, Pete will receive the Michigan brews whenever we have the closing party.

    Thanks for playing everyone! :D

Monday April 9 works for me!

If OPM doesn’t close the gov’t and I have to go to work, then I’ll be at Bier Baron regardless…

In my case, so long as OPM operating status is “Open,” I’ll be in the neighborhood anyway, and will be there.
If OPM status is closed, but Bier Barron and the Metro are open and others will be there, I’ll make the trek. (Just not on my Trek… :p)

Capital Weather Gang was/is noting that this is a very tricky storm to predict, but are erring on a conservative estimate. I have a feeling this might be a “Game Day Call?”

In any case, if we must reschedule, it might get tricky with impending Spring Break/Holy Week…
