As long as I get a green light tonight, I’ll be in and can drive. Happy to give rides from Falls Church (or NoVa in general) if its helpful.

ParticipantYes, please! Will double check schedules tonight. Oh, and sent a friend request via facebook.

Shawn Dread I saw you on Annandale Road waiting to cross Route 50 this morning, I was driving too fast to take a pic.

What’s a few wrinkles in exchange for seeing the sun come up on the Potomac in the morning and seeing it set in the evening. I think if I had a job where I had to wear suits everyday I would bring them in on the weekend.
Totally agree with this sentiment except the part about “if I had a job where I had to wear suits everyday” …. If I had one of those I’d quit and find a new one!

I hit the pavement pretty hard right after the castle hill on the W&OD. I tried my best to dress my wounds as cyclist after cyclist passed me by without any attempt to see if I was OK. Only 1 out of more than 30 riders asked if I needed help while I sat there bleeding on the side of the road. Americancyclo was awesome… he spotted me and stopped to see if I was OK, which now knowing he was on the tail end of a century is even more respectful! He accompanied me for a few miles before I headed on my way to meet my wife at Liberty tavern. I feel stupid and sore….but no broken bones or bicycle parts….. the beers at the tavern helped, and then Baiskeli stopped in and had a beer with us as well…. so not a bad way to end a crap day.
Ouch! Wish I had been on the trail today to help out. Hope you mend up quickly!

ParticipantSpotted RandoGuy’s gleaming fenders on the MVT this morning just before/after the boundary channel bridge and then Bilsko (i think) on the Key Bridge.

ParticipantNice catching up with Kelonwheels (or more appropriately Kel on her Space Horse) this morning! Hope everyone enjoyed their ride as much as I did.

Like most of you I took the long way in and saw Mr. & Mrs. Dickie too, they’re rock stars.
No fair! I didn’t get to take the long way in, didn’t see Mr. & Mrs. Dickie or anyone else for that matter. Stupid work!

ParticipantDickie sighting on the W&OD tonight. Looking speedy sir! I, on the other hand, was taking one of those “you have to go slow to go fast” rides:)

If my emproyer doesn’t want the rides branded as shop rides, I’ll do them anyways and just post them here. Due to work schedule, they will likely be done early on Sunday mornings.
Sunday morning August 11th looks surprisingly free on my calendar …. or pretty much any Sunday in September save the 1st.
