I am a DC resident, and my councilmember is a lame duck (and was pretty lame even before that), but his replacement is a lot more interested in protecting vulnerable road users. In fact, while losing Tommy Wells hurt, in general the changes to the DC Council are going to be a net positive for people who don’t spend all their time driving.
Sadly, I was working. Even though we live in different jurisdictions we’re going to need to support each other to pull this off.
