What’s the thread called? I can’t find it anywhere. And I’m a team captain!
Not a thread, it was via email. You’re captain of Team 17. You should probably make sure Chuck has your correct email.

I hope to be there with kid in tow (as far behind as she is in the Pointless Kids competition, I fear she’s going to encourage me to drag her around far more than I’d planned on this FS)
We just found out today that MBear, who is the Pointless Kids leader, goes to school with my younger daughter. Younger daughter has now expressed interest in hamstering around Hains Point until she closes the gap. Perhaps a Pointless Kids Hains Point ride is in order.

ParticipantI had a Talk, Dark, and Nutty peanut butter milk stout. Smells like a peanut butter cup. Would be great with ice cream. Then I had a taster of the From Asgard, With Love, a Nordic IPA that was juicier than expected and meh.

ParticipantNote that I will NOT be at the opening happy hour (stupid work obligations) but I’ll be in touch with all my team promptly.

Stroopwafels? I quit my own team to join yours! Ik hou van stroopwafels.
Don’t worry, there’s usually a prize for crashing other team’s rides, so you’re good

Did you bring your daughters? For pretzels with cheese sauce maybe?
Yes, they got dragged along. They both wanted the miles – they’re already falling behind on the Pointless Kids leaderboard.

ParticipantMy wife and I have both ridden every day. I have 3 more total miles than she does, and she has 4 points more than me. I am cautiously optimistic that this will increase team competitiveness.

You are on the leaderboard.
Yeah, 5 days and 65 miles – it looks like it’s reading your rides properly.

ParticipantLuckily, Astro Lab is less than 1/3 of a mile away, and they WERE open, and they have delicious pretzels with cheese sauce.
I started with the Jupiter. The tasting notes say it has a soft mouthfeel, and that’s definitely true. I tried the wife’s Startaker. Similar beer, stronger finish. Then I moved on to the James Whirl Jones. Frutier and good. Similar to the first two. I tried the wife’s Peekaboo w/Mosaic. Honestly, all four of these are pretty much the same. Maybe I have a cold or something. I finished with the Boss – an IPA inspired by LIverpool from the British Premier League. It was super malty for an IPA. So malty, in fact, that I hesitate to call it an IPA. It was good, though.

Good morning,
Thank you so much for all the organization and time! I’m having fun so far, and have completed all the setps (more than once) including riding my bike—however—all of my rides are not registering on the leaderboard. Some are, but for example a 22ish mile ride yesterday did not and has not registered. All have been tagged with #BAFS in the title. Although one was, inadvertently less than 1 mile so I know that is a non-counter.
Any tips? Have I done something wrong? I don’t want to be dropped from Freezing Saddles.
I’ll keep riding and logging in Strava hoping it catches up…
Best,
MikeNo need to put #BAFS in the title. What is your strava username?

What does the letter behind our first name correspond to on the leaderboard? Ify C? There are no C’s in my name.

It’s probably assuming that “CISCYCLING” is your last name and taking the first letter. I think obscurerichard is working on allowing people to pick their own display name.

ParticipantI am very grateful for your patience. If I had your job, anyone who wasn’t on the leaderboard by now and hadn’t emailed to say “I re-did every step of the registration process but I’m still not on the leaderboard, please help!” would have their registration deleted.

ParticipantGlad to see my team is in first. That will likely last until 3-4 hours after happy hour.

Does any of this really matter? Maybe I should just go for a ride and forget about the forensic accounting.
The scoring system will get straightened out before it matters. Go ride.
