ParticipantClue:
A trail like the moon
In a state of bad drivers
On mile marker sixProposed ordinance:
If Calvinball is hidden within 5 miles of a brewery (as the crow flies), then the hider shall receive 3 bonus points.Didn’t replace the Calvinball so there’s no separate post for likes.

ParticipantCalvinball has been found. Will update once re-hidden.

Probably Josh A, who rode 70 miles, but his Strava is private, so I can’t tell if it was all “one ride”. David Helms logged a ride of 52.5 miles. Bob James logged a ride of 50 miles and one of 30 miles. I guess he should have paused Strava instead of stopping it. Heck, I could have paused after my 12 mile ride and restarted this morning, pause this evening, restart tomorrow… It’s all one ride until I select “save ride”.
Yeah yesterday was one Strava ride for me, but paused it three times I believe. If you want more details, let me know.

I was apparently too late both at the cemetery on Saturday and along the Custis (McArthur Park) this afternoon.

I swung by to check on it this evening, pretty sure it was still there, I caught a glimpse of Reji’s tupperware container from the trail. Also, unless Google maps is lying to me about the name, it’s not McArthur Park.
Check stump-type things carefully.

Seek the game ball. Maketh up a new ordinance for the game. Hide the sacred ball. Post your new ordinance along with guidance on how those who follow can seek the gameball. Thou shall find, hide and post within the same hours 24.For finding the gameball, ye shall be awarded 5 points, less a point for each day that passeth before the gameball is once again uncovered.
Ye may find the gameball but once during each orbit of the sun. Ye may possess the gameball but once every four turns, plus one turn for every additional orbit around the sun which may transpire before the gameball is found once again.
There’s usage of both “hours 24” and “orbit of the sun”. Are they identical, or is an orbit of the sun 24 hours that starts at 12am EST, or something else? Secondly, what are the limits of finding the gameball? Once I’ve hidden it, I need to wait for three different people to find/re-hide the gameball (assuming that a “turn” is composed of a player finding and re-hiding the ball). I’m not sure how the additional turns are added in. Do I need to count the hours until the ball (when I’ve hidden it) is found, integer divide by 24, and then stay out of the game for 3+n turns (or all that with calendar days instead)? Or do I need to include more data in this calculation?
Also, what should be used at the times for hiding and finding the gameball in the above? The actual time, the time notice is posted in this thread, or something else?

ParticipantOh and adhering to the first ordinance, here is a post with the new gameball.

ParticipantThat’d be me, Steve O. Went back for round 2, can’t believe I missed it the first time. I’ve swapped out the Calvinball for another consumable that’ll warm you up (well the magnet’s still there, the gin is gone).
My rule: Hints must be given in the form of a haiku (with additional elements, i.e. photos, allowed).
Hint: The Calvinball is here (if not obscured, would be visible in the photo). This location is the real deal, you could say.
