Yes, I get tons of comments on it, ranging from “Nice Hat!” to “Horse back riding?”
Someone please shout out, “Suck it, Trebek“, the next time they see Tim wearing the Trabec.

Thanks Steve for organizing this.
The ride back to Fairfax was brutal. Shawn “massive quads” Dread just completely destroyed me up the Custis. I had to pull up whimpering in pain near Westover and had to call the wife to drive me home.
Were you on the fixie? And were you really at Circa at noon?

I’m pretty convinced that the L St cycletrack needs to be redone. It’s confusing to drivers. It’s too narrow at the intersections. I rode it with my daughter in the trailer the other day and won’t again, there’s just not enough room for the trailer.
I’m not sure what the best design would be, but what we have isn’t it.
Time to get a cargo bike.

ParticipantWent down the rabbit hole and excited to see that they got an Xtracycle Edgerunner last week. Does kickstarter work for funding my dream cargo bike?

Don’t forget to set your virtual partner’s pace at 20mph. The kids can handle it.
June 12, 2013 at 7:25 pm in reply to: suggested bike route between Bethesda and Catholic University? #972742jopamora
ParticipantAfter Aspen take 3rd and you can just follow the MBT trail signs to get to Catholic. There is a new traffic light at Hamilton and N. Capitol that makes following the trail easier.
Taking 14th to Irving (sidewalk along the hospital) to Michigan would work out too.
Here is a third option Coming back this way means you get to climb Tilden

Sounds very cool. Have you been to the Museum? The Marbles Museum in Raleigh, NC (also a Children’s museum) was such a big hit that our toddler asked to drive all the way back to Raleigh to go back.
Of course, National Harbor is almost as far (kidding).
There’s no way I could go to this, but if anyone knows any way for me to get Kidical Mass flyers there, please let me know.
Haven’t been, but I’ve heard the 3 and under crowd love it. Pretty sure you could bike to it.

As for attaching the number w/chip to the front of the bike. Any tips so its not flapping around and/or scooping up all the wind?
Does it have to go on the front? What about top tube/down tube facing sideways? Or behind your saddle?

ParticipantThere wasn’t a line just now. There was a sign for New Registrations.
