ParticipantHeh, mostly skepticism but yeah, if it’s a true story that is just awesome! Pics or it didn’t happen. Can’t believe everything you read on the internet. I’ve also never heard anyone say they need to call the sheriff. I always picture a guy in tight shorts answering the phone “sherrifs department”.

ParticipantAfter I wore out my armadillo tires, I cut out the bead and put it inside I larger tire with a thick downhill tube. I’ve been running over all kinds of junk on the road and so far it’s working well. Of course you pay a substantial weight penalty to prevent flats…

ParticipantCheater (n) car driver. This is often misused to refer to a cyclist riding an electric bike. Exceptions would be if person riding electric bike were in an actual bicycle race.

ParticipantEvery morning near the beginning of the L street before it turns into a cycle track, this truck blocks the lane and forces me into traffic. I am going up this ramp eventually, just have not had the perfect opportunity yet. But if he keeps parking here, I’m going up the ramp.

This photo is time stamped 2:08. I knew the client at 1920 N was getting antsy (ready at 1pm, drop by 3) but I stopped to take this picture anyway because I never get this far west. Dropped 907 North Quincy, 1600 Wilson, 1015 31st, picked up the 4 boxes on N St., dropped 1001 Penn then the boxes at 441 4th at 2:48 with 12 minutes to spare. Sat in the park for 40 minutes getting chilled in my sweaty cotton, then 1001 Penn rush to 1300 Wilson followed by 2639 Conn to 515 15th. 48 miles of trailer hauling on fat tires including commute. A good day on the bike.
Who do you work for? What do you do? Seems like the best of both worlds. And sheesh, a lot of mileage.

Also, I do not own a pair of ski goggles. I doubt many people around here do.
I do! I bought moto goggles for cold weather riding.

ParticipantWait a minute, I just put snow tires on my ebike. Was looking forward to some snowy commutes on the W&OD. Nothing’s much more fun than trying to stay upright in the snow.
