I need to buy a commuter bike this week and need some Frogs. Got any you want to unload? I don’t need cleats, just pedals. Don’t care how much they weigh (GASP!), so any kind will do.
Thanks, merci, and all that.Surprisingly, I do, you can have them. Send me a pm to pick them up.

To be clear: #kidical applies to rides with kids attached somehow to your bike (e.g. trailer or child seat),
So, tied to the fender like a deer should be labeled KIDICAL??
Jason B
Participantdo kidicals count for more points? If so, how much?

ParticipantHow good did it feel to not have to hang your clothes to dry, peel off twenty layers, or check for torn clothes due to falling on ice???
Today was a nice one. Took the roady out and did some hills to celebrate.BTW, Thanks Spokes for doing an awesome job fixing my bike!!!

You know, I will respond to this with what I feel is my mantra for this years FS, “BRING IT!!!!”

Soooooo jealous on the Rapha jacket, waiting for my PI to die before i take the plunge.Jason B
ParticipantMore ice than you may think. Fell and did a James Bond slide for about 15 feet on the airport overpass. I also fell again walking back to my bike. Tried to do a loop around Haines point but fell on Ohio Ave turnaround, so even the streets have ice. The Roosevelt s-curve had ton of ice and had to be walked. Surprisingly the custis overpasses didn’t have ice, or at least i didn’t notice.
It is funny, but i have fallen so many times since FS started that it has become passé.January 10, 2014 at 11:41 am in reply to: Tuesday morning could be coldest day in D.C. in 20 years #990802Jason B

I have a theory for BAFS that bad weather prevents others from scoring points therefore I should ride.
I have a theory the direct opposite is true and this entire lot of crackpots thinks Rule 9 comes between Thou Shall not Kill, and Thou Shall Not Steal.
The worse the weather, the more loonies come out to play.January 9, 2014 at 6:58 pm in reply to: Tuesday morning could be coldest day in D.C. in 20 years #990719Jason B

ProTip: Hard boiled eggs hold heat extremely well.
I made hardboiled eggs this morning before work. When they were done, I carefully wrapped them in a paper towel and put them in my BA drawstring bag.
I had a nice warm lower back during my entire ride, and a warm breakfast when I got to work!
Sorry to nerd your pro tip up, but i had to ride to school today with bacteria and slime mold cultures and didn’t want them to freeze. Yes, i ate the egg.
I’m cat 6 anyway, so what did you expect me to do with this tip?

Started early today, and it was one of my coldest starts yet. This is going to be a cold couple months!
I wrote that last week, and , well ummm, I think I need to revise it.

ParticipantToday I wore a windblock that doesn’t breath very well. Did a little longer ride today and when I took off the jacket, I had a nice layer of ice on the inside of it. Could have made a slushie. Layers are good, if they are the right layers.
