Correct any messing with the paint will be completely or mostly hidden by the wheel.

The rear wheel fits across the frame (I got the right size hub). It’s the little circular part of the hub that drops into the U in the frame/hanger that is just a little too wide.

In the pic on the right you can see the skewer, the hub and the U. The issue is the hub can get all the into that U (it’s fine on the other side).

Maybe it is removable. The bolts on the painted side of the hanger look like they have a round head. But the hanger looks threaded on the unpainted side. So maybe there is a hex head hiding under the paint.

Hmmm…this might be my most serious issue so far. The rear derailleur hanger isn’t aligned properly with the frame in such a way that the remaining space is about 1mm too small for the rear wheel. The hanger is riveted in place or braze on so I can’t just loosen it and adjust. It’s likely that simply chipping away some paint will solve the problem. If that doesn’t work, should I:

    Bend the hanger
    File the hanger
    File the frame
Take it to a shop where they could reattach the hanger

    Sorry about the terrible pics.

If they enforcing the “law” like they do on the roads, you wouldn’t have a problem unless you were going under 14mph or over 30mph. Good luck runners!

This is my preference. To the Google.

… Nope, 140mm rotor needed. To the eBay.

With or without the big hammer?

The hammer was used in the assembly of this bicycle. The carbon is strong with this one.

Wow, that is whole lot of red accenting going on there! :-) — but I guess the saddle will be blue? It’s great to see it coming together! I still suggest your front brake hose run is wrong, but as long as you can turn the handlebars all the way in both directions it probably will function adequately. Shorter run is probably preferable though for the hydro fluid (and minimizing affects of temps on fluid?).

Oh, don’t forget to put inline barrel adjust in for your FD. You might want one for your RD, though most road RDs have barrel adjusters on them, so it’s probably unnecessary to put one inline. When I switched to 1×10 with X9 RD, I discovered that the newer SRAM MTB derailleurs do not have one (so I had to cut my housing and add an inline adjuster).

Yes, these are the 50 shades I was referring to earlier.

The jagwire came with in-line adjusters so they are installed. (Partly used to transition from 4mm housing at the brifters to Jags standard 5mm housing.)

Yes, I’ve got full rotation on the handle bars (see earlier comment about lines being too long). I haven’t filled the brake lines yet so there’s still time for me to route this more traditionally. As for the length of the housing, it is still way shorter than the rear brake housing, so I’m not worried about from that perspective.

The saddle is both blue and free. I’m just bidding my time until Dread realizes he doesn’t like his new (black and red) saddle and wants it gone fast.

This one not so much…maybe I need a smaller rotor?

Am I cheating if I ride my morning commute to work while sober?

    No, but why would you?

Unless you guys are competing in cat 1 or maybe cat 2 races I don’t see why anyone cares. Being the best cat 4 racer, while certainly not easy doesn’t seem like it really means much. So I hope people aren’t spending too much time investing inhalers and patches at these races.

But maybe I’m missing the gene for intense competition.

    Yes I was just going to say;

“Sharp cutoff illuminates objects 1/3 of a mile away without blinding oncoming motorists and cyclists”

    I have my doubts.

But I do like the mount, and I have a blindingly bright light as well. So enjoy and let us know.
