ParticipantMystery Art Ride Update:
As of now, we have 5 confirmed Storm Riders for Sunday’s mystery art ride, one Storm Rider out of town, and no non-team riders (so far).
For those who arrive 10 minutes early, I will share/show some GPS art bike techniques and prepare for a 10AM departure. This ride will last about an hour depending on our speed, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it took less. I would like to start heading home to my place in N Arlington no later than, say, 12 or 1230, and depending on weather and how the team is feeling, that might leave us time to grab a coffee at the Maine Ave Wharf or nearby.

Participant- This does not consider Friday’s new snow fall:
- Custis cleared Rosslyn to East Falls Church; 4 mile run Trail cleared from Shirlington to Eads; Washington Boulevard trail near the Pentagon is cleared to Memorial Bridge. W&OD is a mess from the junction with Custis all the way to Columbia Pike

- Serder says, “I rode in MVT. Snow melted only on asphalt there. Bridges are covered with slush.”

Custom bike safety flag is only 9 bucks: https://www.nationalbanner.com/Custom_Bike_Safety_Flags.htm
Judd, Good idea and clearly recognizable, but there’s something we need to consider……it makes getting on and off the bike a real problem; it’s hard to get a leg over the top bar and saddle without hitting the flag with calf or ankle. I had trouble keeping my balance, trying to lift my leg over the bar in different ways. Just sayin’.
or having I know from my Halloween Hello Kitty flag

ParticipantJudd,
That’s a great idea! Any idea when Mikes opens?
I’ll tell D Kelley and Rockford 10

ParticipantANNOUNCING THE 2021 WINNERS:

ParticipantJessie, thanks. Good!
Just fixing a typo that makes it clearer. Riders (not Rides)

ParticipantPOINTLESS PRIZE TO TOP 3 WOMEN RIDERS (BAFS miles)
I’m offering my usual pointless prize to the top three (in BAFS miles ridden) women riders! (as determined by the BAFS leaderboard)
No hash tags needed, nor photos…all it takes is plenty of fun winter riding miles (relative to everyone else, that is.) Top 3 riders in this category are individually awarded a bike-link key chain customized with each rider’s winning mileage on an identifying silver tag.Dave
