ParticipantI asked you ONE thing:take me to your leader. And you drag me all over the DMV in this cold weather.

ParticipantGreat! Although I may substitute another route to accommodate some other friends. A variation of last week’s route, but a bit longer and stopping at Waredaca. Keep an eye on this space

ParticipantThis is obviously a sabotage attempt to hold my miles down since this is right on my shorter commute route home.
Still, looking forward to meeting up!

ParticipantMerlin, Bikedavid, two non-FS friends (MattB and PeterC) and I made the most of the sunshine today to head out into the Montgomery County countryside for some miles, beer, and pastry. Merlin and Matt had to turn around early, but the three of us had a great ride, and some good tasty beers at Elder Pine. Hope you all had a great day out there somewhere!

And despite the authentic sleet falling from the sky, the weather API gods failed to bless it as a snow ride, nor even with accumulated precipitation.
Boo! My hands were numb most of the ride, so I feel like I earned some extra credit!

ParticipantWell, that did not go according to plan! Shira, Merlin, and I gamely started out only to encounter dropping temperatures and rain/sleet. We were not dressed right and decided to turn around at about Mile 14 and find some coffee to warm up. Frustratingly, the ride ended with the sun coming out and temperatures creeping back up into the 40s. Grrr. So not so many miles and no beer. Still, a bad day on the bike is pretty damn good!
We will try again next week

Great! I’ll PM you my number and can text you when we leave the French School. It is about 5 miles from French School to Knowles, so I would guess 10:15ish?
Thanks for the heads up about Glenmont; I completely forgot about that.
Hope to see you tomorrow.

FYI. There is supposed to be a food truck this Sunday. However, once in a while they end up not showing. Or you could always do a quick side trip to the Sunshine General Store. Rumor has it, they have some awesome burgers!
However, since I’m currently out of town, I’ll have to find my own local brewery.
Thanks Alan. We will probably get there before the food truck and I don’t want to risk it being late or not showing up. As for the Sunshine General Store, I have never been brave enough to try one of those burgers on a ride! If you do, let me know how it sits!
Happy riding wherever you are, and I hope you find a brewery.

ParticipantGreat.

ParticipantMy Plan B proposal is that we meet at Coffee Club at about 8. Andrea and the West-of-of the Park group can take the CCT. I can lead the East-of-the-Park group down Kansas/11th, go by McPherson, and meet you at Swings.
Meet up at the Takoma Metro at 7:15? Earlier is fine with me, but I know a couple of you are north of Takoma and I don’t want to presume you leave earlier.

ParticipantI am game for a Team Commute. My normal Friday routine would take me to Friday Coffee Club at Swings on G St near 17th, and I would usually go downtown via the MBT. BYT, I am happy to take another route to increase team participation and/or add miles. I usually leave the house around 7, but again can go earlier or a bit later if that helps.
Whose in? We can figure out a route and time
