oxon hill is very rough with the road construction. But I ride it almost everyday. The people in cars really try to give me space.

So sad I tried but couldn’t get up, I hate mornings. I am still in my PJ’s. I did set the alarm but just couldn’t do it. Missed you guys.

Just read the rules, that was great although I think I definitely break 56, I love my soy latte’s and sorry to say I do break 62 but I only have the music in one ear, how else would I be able to sing all my songs as I ride down the Mount Vernon Trail. I am sure the walkers would miss my singing. :)

What happened to August, I am not ready for another round of freezing saddles, I was cold this morning. This is wrong, just so so wrong. Grumble. Grumble. But on the plus side the sunrise was beautiful. :)

I guess I do need a beer, drown my sorrow and all…

I’m glad I braved the storms. The ride back was uneventful.

commuting gets better each time you do and and then one day you will find yourself laughing at what you once thought were hills. Forgetting pieces of clothing is par for the course at one time or another I have been missing a variety of clothes. The best part of commuting is when there is bad traffic and you get to fly by. Also after a while you will get faster and faster. Had to get a bell recently because I got tired of saying “on your left”. I cannot believe I am able to pass people sometimes. It is fun.

Yes, that is exactly what happens when you (or, at least, I) wear a long-ish skirt on a bike.:o

Too funny I wear a skort alot and this happens a lot of times. Luckily it is only my bike shorts showing but I am not ready to give up the skort. Better than letting it all hang out.

If you try to wait for a day to commute when the weather is completely clear you may never ride. I have learned to just ignore the weather forecaster’s and just try to be prepared. i am sure in the winter the rain will be bad but during the summer it just means go slower to me. My commuter/with fenders can handle wet roads easily. And the plus side is when it rains the Mount Vernon Trial is free of most runners and walkers.

The bike could be for a women in your life or you could donate it to some needy woman in your life, she could come out to my Saturday morning beginner rides and learn to ride it. OR we could get you a man’s bike. :) I will make it work if you win, I just need donations. Otherwise all this training and these huge thighs I am developing will be for nothing.
    :)

I roll my pants and try to wear sweaters and shirts that don’t wrinkle, As a woman I know I could dress fancier but I dress down so that I can ride my bike. I have a suit here in the office in case I get called to an important meeting but otherwise I just do the best I can. What’s a few wrinkles in exchange for seeing the sun come up on the Potomac in the morning and seeing it set in the evening. I think if I had a job where I had to wear suits everyday I would bring them in on the weekend.
