While I’m sure god still loves us, the outward expression of that love that was channeled by someone with a can of spray paint has been removed. I still feel loved though.

I need that mess of bumps on the custis. They wake me up before the S of Certain Death. Without them, some west-bound commuter would find me leaning up against the “God Loves Fat People” graffiti, snoring up a storm.

For rear lights, I use the Planet Bike superflash lights. I have 2 of them on the back. I also have 3m reflective tape plastered all over the cargo bike.

Agree with Mark about being seen. That’s prio 1. Seeing is important… A close second in priorities.

Cav crushed me last night! Who’s idea was it for this game anyhow?

Use defeat as a stepping stone to bigger and greater things.

You’ve got a 3 week training opportunity starting Saturday morning. You thought Cav was tough… you ought to try some Phil Liggett Bingo.

I don’t do well with inexpensive lighting systems. There are a few features that the nicer lighting systems have that make them last a very long time. The biggest is a smart charger. Trust me, you want one of these. Batteries die young when they get overcharged. Whatever you get, make sure you read and follow the charging and storage instructions carefully.

My personal recommendation are the lights made by Exposure. http://exposurelightsusa.com

They make a light called the Joystick which is perfect for commuting. The medium setting (they call it “high”) is great for commuting and I get 3 or 4 days of use before I have to recharge. In the summer time I use it on blink mode to and from work and I get almost 2 weeks of use out of it. I actually have the Diablo model, which is brighter and has slightly shorter run times. You might be able to get a whole week out of the Joystick with one charge.

What I like about these is that they’re small, light and there are no external batteries. They’re sealed and easy to take on and off. No straps or wires. The helmet and bar mounts are brilliant and super easy to use.

Mine is almost a year old and has been used almost 200 days. It has been absolutely perfect.

Fun night. Great flick. Don’t miss it on the big screen. I’m still a bit hung over from way too much Cav drinking game though. Not good for a Friday morning. ;)

All sold out for both shows.

Phil/Paul Bingo game starts Sunday. :D Might have to make up some Bobke Bingo cards. You gotta play that with some strong Kentucky Whiskey though.

Nope. Just someone with the unique ability to be a smartass and dumbass at the same time.

Dear Mark, sir. You’re just not thinking far enough out of the box. ;)

What the S of Certain Death needs is a series of TTFs (Technical Trail Features for those who don’t build mountain bike trails). A skinny, rock garden and a teeter or two would be a perfect lead-in for a really big wheelie drop. We can install a foam pit for the landing for the first 6 months until people get used to the gnar gnar.

Conte’s used to have a big bin outside for that. I’m sure they still recycle. I think that is a Specialized Dealer schtick.

It is summer time. You can always use them to make water balloon launchers. Get enough tubes and a few friends and you can launch a water balloon half a mile. Now THAT is something I want on my resume.
