ParticipantThe last one I finished was “Slaying the Badger” which was one the better ones I’ve read. another that should be checked out is;
“Team 7-Eleven: How an Unsung Band of American Cyclists Took on the World – and Won” by Geoff Drakeculimerc
ParticipantMy wife rides a Jamis Coda comp as her commuter, its probably 8 or 9 years old at this point and has been absolutely reliable. She like the flat bar for the downtown part of her commute.
I’ve been loving my Salsa Vaya for commuting and light touring. Plus it comes in “please dont hit me orange”. And the Ortllieb orange panniers match perfectly, and thats what really matters isnt it??

ParticipantI rode a bunch of years ago and was shocked at exactly how hilly DC really is.

Anyone have any insider info on getting cue sheets for the reston century? I like my garmin and REALLY don’t want to rely on a piece of paper when I get there.

ParticipantI have -2- reactions to frustrations like this.
1) let he who is without sin cast the first stone……… Pretty much rules me out.
2) Ride your own bike first. I do stupid crap, you do stupid crap, maybe rather finger wagging at someone else we should concentrate on not doing stupid crap.
Thanks is all

ParticipantI think we should probably keep it to 1 a month in order to keep the attendance up and not dilute the special fun factor of it.
Maybe a handful of regular places that have some sort of sponsorship or record of contribution towards the bike community. Mendocino wine bar on Capitol hill helps sponsor DCCX and some of the local bike teams. Maybe we could talk Chasin’ Tails to adopt a section of the WOD. or are there other businesses who work with Bike Arlington or WABA that are deserving of our spare pennies?? Every first Thurs at one the four or five places on a rotating basis.

ParticipantNot yet. It may be a couple of months, but they’ve done so much work on the trail I have a hard time believing thats its not on the schedule.

ParticipantI find it ironic that Hinault is suggesting that SKY abandon Wiggins for Froome considering Hinault’s actions in the 80’s with LeMond.
